It was used by 1.0pre2 and earlier versions to generate secret keys.
However, since 1.0pre3 public/private keys are used, and genauth has
gone. If you are asking this question, you are probably reading outdated
documentation. The website should contain documentation for 1.0pre4, and
you can also find it in the tarballs.
