What exactly do you mean by giving tap0 one 10.1.0.0/16 address? I tried
ifconfig tap0 10.1.0.0 broadcast 10.1.255.255 netmask 255.255.0.0
and removing the ipchains rules, but then the entire VPN stops working.
I want the rules removed, because not everything is very useful now (SMB keeps
bugging me, and NFS doesn't work correctly either)
