It's because newer versions of OpenSSL 0.9.7 suddenly changed the
behaviour of some of their functions without documenting it properly.
Older versions of tinc are linked against OpenSSL 0.9.6, which does not
have this problem. A new version of tinc will be uploaded to fix this
problem (see also bug #189432).
