Best Wireless configuration

Thanks for the reply.

There is only one small problem with using Linux.  I'm not familiar 
with Linux.  :-(

XP wouldn't need to route anything through wireless.  The laptop 
(which is wireless) would talk to the router.  On one of the wired 
ports of the router could be an XP box.  If the VPN could be an end 
point in the XP box and then go back through the same router to the 
internet is the question.
