Hello Sven-Haegar,
That is why i did change all my laptops' cards to Atheros chipsets.
If you're looking for PC-hosted bridging tinc with wi-fi solutions, check out some access point capable wireless adapters (Like Zyxel AG-225H, D-Link DWA110, etc.) they have the capability of creating a usual wireless network (i.e. AP mode, not the usual Client mode and of course not ad-hoc mode), and should not suffer from intel marketing limitations. Sure, atheros-based internal solutions are (demanding user)-friendly too.
All of them are pretty cheap btw.
But anyways, if i was planning adding wi-fi to virtual ting network, i would have bridge done not on wireless side, but n ethernet.

SHK> Just bridging between a wifi interface in client mode (connected to an
SHK> AP as a client) and another interface (nothing tinc related, the
SHK> same goes for ethernet) does not work.
