tinc on macosx

The macports version uses /opt/local/etc/tinc/ for configuration.
Freshly installed tinc without any configuration or command arguments:
bash-3.2# tincd
Cannot open config file /opt/local/etc/tinc/tinc.conf: No such file or directory
bash-3.2#
