To the others/developer: i think since windows vista(x64), windows accepts only certificied drivers by default. With the hardware-wizard somebody could "overclick" :-) the warning/dialog.
Could it be, that tapinstall.exe have problems with this in some situations? With "bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON" the use/warning of certificied drivers could be deactivated (but it's not a permanent solution, only for testing).

For example: i must use Windows Vista X64 in "testing mode" to allow FreeOTFE (encryption for windows/linux) load drivers in portable mode.
