Actually, / and \ both work fine on Windows and are treated the same way. The
message that C:\Program Files\tinc\VPN\tinc.conf does not exist is true. If
you did really make a tinc.conf file, make sure that the filename is all lower
case and that your text editor did not secretly add a ".txt" extension to the
filename.

I do not know if Remobo is more or less secure, the only thing mentioned on
their website is "256 bit AES", which doesn't tell much. The fact that
connections are set up through a third party, even if it is just an initial
handshake when you add buddies, opens up the possibility of a man-in-the-middle
attack by Remobo. But if you trust Remobo, then it is indeed easier than tinc,
because in tinc you have to take care of key distribution yourself. I think
tinc has more features and might work in situations where Remobo does not, but
I have not tried it out myself.
