Windows 8 support?

Does tinc work on Windows 8?  If not, are there any plans to support it?

I was using tinc to provide remote support for my mother-in-law (allowing me
to connect her into my personal tinc-based VPN and easily connect a vnc
session).  Unfortunately her new PC runs Windows 8!  The alternative to tinc
is going to have to be some complex putty configuration, but I find using
vnc over ssh port forwarding seems to be slower than over tinc.
