 That was in fact the problem - but not using it was/is not an option 
 (dealing with PPPoE interfaces and the like which have IP's changing every 
 few hours sometimes). Glad to see the UNIX sockets in 1.1pre5, that is 
 working just fine for all of my use cases. :)
