tinc suddenly stops working on mac osx

Actually, I cannot reproduce this error. It happened 2 or 3 times, and then everything worked fine again, until (and tinc is in use for many months on my mac now). 

Also have I identified my problem: I was using a PPTP client resulting in a DNS not working properly, so tinv could not connect to its remotes.
Sorry to disturb the mailing list with my oddities.
