PMTU = 1518 over local network at 1500 MTU

I think something is wrong on my network...

I cannot tracepath my gateway that is not on the same switch :

root at test2:~# tracepath 192.168.0.254
 1:  no reply
 2:  no reply
 3:  no reply
 4:  no reply
....



But I can ping it.... Would you have an idea of the problem ? Maybe a
cable problem between my 2 switches ? But everything else is working
(big files transfers, etc...).
The switches are TP-LINK TL-SG1016D (not administrable).
