It depends on how you configure tinc and OpenVPN. The protocol used in
tinc 1.0.x is quite dated, and is not as good as it can be. In tinc 1.1,
there is a new protocol which uses current best practices such as
Ed25519 keys, Chacha-Poly1305 authenticated encryption, ephemeral
Diffie-Hellman key exchange and end-to-end encryption.
