This is a feature. If you want to allow dbtest3 to connect to the
1.1pre15 nodes, then you manually need to remove the Ed25519PublicKey
from hosts/dbtest3 on the 1.1pre15 nodes, or add "ExperimentalProtocol =
no" to the tinc.conf on the 1.1pre15 nodes to have them use the old
protocol. Of course you can use the CLI for this, for example to remove
the Ed25519 key:
tinc -n <netname> del dbtest3.Ed25519PublicKey
