needed kernel parameters

Hi,

I'm trying to get tinc running on my crux linux machines (with self 
compiled kernels). On one box, I got it runnig straight-forwardly, on the 
other, it starts without errors, but is unable to actually reach any of my 
other tinc instances: The log suggests, that the connection is 
established, MTU probes and pings/pongs are sent and received, but a ping 
on the tun ip of the other node fails.

My suspicion is, that I'm missing some kernel parameters (I had to add 
CONFIG_TUN to make it start at all, for example).

Is there any documentation on what kernel parameters are needed for 
configuration with tun?

However, maybe the error is somewhere completely else, because upon 
investigation I just noticed, that one of my *other* machines (running 
archlinux32, not crux) is also unable to connect and shows similar 
symptoms. Any idea, how to investigate this further?
